The Hardwood edition is for lovers of handcrafted woodwork and beautiful timber. A made to order solid wood cabinet boasting a range of species. This bespoke case can be built to size and spec to fit any model of guitar electric or acoustic, bass or violin.

Quercus robur A light to medium brown wood. Grain is straight often interlocking. A classically beautiful wood used for structural aswell as furniture.  Locally and FSC available

Juglans rigia, Juglans nigra

Pale brown to chocolate with grey, purple and black streaks. English (rigia) is rare and expensive where as black (nigra) is easily obtained.

Fraxinus excelsior

A light to medium brown wood often with dark streaks. Grain is straight and regular. Figured boards can be found.

Platanus occidentalis

Light tan to reddish brown. Fine interlocked grain. Stains well, similar to Maple.

Prunus avium

A light pinkish brown wood that ages to a golden brown. Straight or slightly wavy grain. Often used in furniture, cabinetry and musical instruments.

Locally and FSC available 

Entandrophragma cylindricum

A golden to dark reddish-brown.

Grain is interlocked, and sometimes wavy. Fine uniform texture and good natural luster.

FSC available

Fagus sylvatica

Pale cream in colour with a light pink or brown hue. Often used in flooring, boat building, cabinetry and veneer. Reasonably priced.

BEECH

Acer saccharum

Sapwood color ranges from nearly white, to an off-white cream color, sometimes with a golden hue. Grain is generally straight but may be wavy.
